Educator
Ben Gilbert is a passionate educator with substantial classroom experience, particularly at university level. He has allied a varied and rewarding media career with an MA in Media, Culture & Communication from the Institute of Education and PTTLS qualification studied at Kensington & Chelsea College. University of Westminster
Ben approached the University of Westminster in 2009 to establish a relationship with the journalism department and develop his profile as an educator. Now an established member of the teaching department, he is a Visiting Lecturer on the BA Journalism and MA Multimedia Journalism courses during term-time. He also leads one of the university’s journalism summer schools for international students.
Regent’s University London
Centrally located in the grounds of Regent’s Park, Ben became a Visiting Lecturer at Regent’s University in January, 2019. He has since run courses in a range of disciples connected to journalism and digital cultures as part of the Liberal Studies department.
London College of Communication
Ben became an Associate Lecturer at LCC in August, 2017, joining the pool of tutors who run the journalism units at the college. He leads a number of Short Courses, including Digital Journalism and the annual Summer: Journalism school with international students.
Goldsmiths, University of London
Ben is an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Media, Communications and Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths. He designed and leads the Arts & Fashion Journalism unit as part of the BA Journalism programme.
